Quintin Harris Trio

Led by 25-year-old jazz pianist/singer, The Quintin Harris Trio has been on the rise this last year, regularly appearing in some of NYC's most celebrated venues (as well as throughout the country). Quintin is excited to return to his favorite place in New York, the legendary Birdland Jazz Club--this time with a mixture of his own original compositions. An acolyte of master pianist Bill Charlap, Quintin performs with a sensibility and emotion beyond his years. Best known for exhilarating trio arrangements, heartfelt ballad playing, a strong lyrical interpretation, and an aptitude for deep swing--you don't want to miss these rising stars. Quintin is an interpreter of the Great American Songbook and old New York's elegance, he infuses melody, phrasing, touch with enormous sensitivity and passion through pyrotechnical trio arrangements and heart wrenching ballad playing. The New York City Jazz Record writes: , "rdquo" -> The classic American Songbook has rarely felt so authentic...the old New York imagery flourished..." "...Masterful standards and the power of arranging to keep them current and relevant...With such a talented group, the Quintin Harris Trio is full of possibilities; there's Harris the vocalist, Harris the solo jazz pianist and Harris the leader of a band with two other virtuosic musicians. The potential combinations and permutations of presenting material are therefore thrilling..." ~ Marilyn Lester, NiteLife Exchange Quintin Harris - piano & voice Griffin Fink - bass Anton Kot - drums Please be aware of the following age-related restrictions for this event: 10+.
