With these artists he would receive an invaluable artistic education, learn to embody the art form & master the music. In 1988, Green released his debut album as a leader "Prelude", which featured Terrence Blanchard. In 1990, he signed with Blue Note Records, for which he made 7 recordings. These records featured some of the best musicians working in the idiom including Ron Carter, Christian McBride, and many others. Green has made 20+ albums on his own since 1988, while performing on countless albums of jazz greats, including Oscar Peterson, John Pizzarelli and Diana Krall.
